PRIVACY NOTICE

Your privacy.

What stays on your phone, what happens when you contact us, and the choices you have.

Last updated: 15 October 2026

Who is responsible

KLIPNOTES is provided by Sleek Edge Tech Solutions, Nigeria. For questions or requests about personal information we handle, email sleekedgetechsolutions@gmail.com.

Your notes stay on your phone

The Android 1.0 beta stores notes, checklist items, display settings and temporary deletion Undo data in the app’s private device storage. It has no account system, advertising, analytics SDK, automatic cloud sync, or internet permission. We do not receive your note content through the app.

Floating notes can be visible to someone looking at your screen. Avoid keeping passwords or other sensitive details in a visible note. Device storage is not presented as an encrypted vault.

Permissions, explained

  • Display over other apps: shows and edits floating notes. The app does not capture or read the contents of other apps.
  • Foreground service and notifications: keep the floating service visible and provide controls to manage or hide notes.
  • File picker: lets you choose a file for a backup or restore. The app does not request broad access to your files.

You can manage these permissions in Android Settings. Revoking overlay permission stops the floating functionality.

Backups and deletion

Backups happen only when you choose to export them. Exported JSON contains readable note and checklist text; keep it somewhere you trust. If you choose a cloud storage provider in the file picker, its privacy terms also apply.

Deleting an item offers a 30-second Undo for the most recent deletion. Expired Undo data is removed when the app next checks that state. Uninstalling or clearing app storage removes local app data. Separately exported files and feedback emails are not removed by uninstalling. Because we do not hold your notes, we cannot recover them for you.

When you visit this website

This website has no advertising trackers or third-party fonts. The interactive demo runs in your browser’s memory and does not send its text to us. Reloading the page resets it.

The hosting and network providers that deliver and protect the site may process technical request information such as IP address, browser information, requested URL and timestamps. We have not added optional tracking cookies.

Download counts

We count requests for the APK file by day. This is not a count of installs or people using the app. Repeat downloads and automated requests can be included. We do not collect device identifiers or connect these counts to email signups.

Optional email updates

If you choose to sign up, we store your email address, the wording you agreed to, signup and confirmation dates, and your subscription status in our website database. We use your consent to send KLIPNOTES updates and store launch news. Joining is optional and is not needed to download or use the app.

You must confirm your address before we send announcements. Confirmation links last 7 days. Unconfirmed signups older than 30 days are removed at the next signup or dashboard visit. Email delivery uses Resend when configured; until then, requests are saved and no messages are sent. See Resend’s privacy policy.

Every announcement includes an unsubscribe link. We record send attempts to avoid duplicates. Provider acceptance does not prove inbox delivery. We do not add email open-tracking pixels. After unsubscribing, we keep a minimal record to prevent unwanted messages. You can email us to request deletion. Confirmed subscriptions are kept while you want updates or until this mailing list ends.

To limit spam, the signup form temporarily stores a salted, one-way value made from your network address and the current hour. Our database does not store the raw address. The value expires after that hour and is removed on a later signup request.

Only the site owner can access the subscriber dashboard or export confirmed addresses. We do not sell or share the list for other companies’ marketing.

If you send feedback

Emailing us shares your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send. The app prepares its version and Android version to help troubleshooting; no notes are attached automatically. Your email provider and our email provider process the email.

We use this information to respond, troubleshoot, maintain security and improve KLIPNOTES. Our basis for handling support correspondence is our legitimate interest in providing support and improving the service, balanced against your rights. We may also process information to meet a legal obligation where applicable. We do not use support messages for marketing without a separate choice.

We keep correspondence only for as long as needed for the request, relevant security follow-up, or applicable legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information. Providers may process information outside Nigeria under their terms and applicable data-protection requirements.

Your choices and rights

You control notes locally. For personal information we hold, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability where applicable, object to processing, or withdraw consent where processing relies on it. Email us with your request; we may need proportionate information to verify it. You may also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. Applicable legal limits and rights remain in effect.

We do not intentionally ask children to send personal information. A parent or guardian can contact us about information a child has sent.

Changes to this notice

We will update this page and its date when our practices change. Any future accounts, analytics or cloud-backup feature will need an updated notice before that processing begins.
